Aim for the Bullseye with Confidence
Archery is all about mastering bows and arrows. Guided by our skilled archery specialists, campers are carefully instructed in archery safety and the use of compound and recurve bows. They’ll practice aiming at targets on our eight-bay range, progressing from learning the basics to confidently hitting bullseyes by the end of the summer.
Unleash Creativity with Themed & Classic Crafts
Campers unleash their creativity with artistic projects to decorate camp or take home. Weekly themes inspire unique creations like treasure maps for Pirate Day, Olympic torches, and superhero masks. Classic crafts such as clay molding, melty beads, pipe cleaner butterflies, lanyards, and more add to the excitement.
Conquer the Wall with 4 Different Challenges
Our 24-foot climbing wall features four tracks of varying difficulty levels, offering fun and challenge for every age group. Campers love the thrill of scaling the wall and sounding the buzzer at the summit.
Build Confidence through Acting, Dancing & Fun
With guidance from our drama specialists, campers explore acting, dancing, and singing, helping them grow more comfortable speaking publicly and expressing themselves in groups. Imagination games, icebreaker activites, and performing skits for the camp are just a few of the exciting activities offered.
Bring Your Best to Exciting Outdoor Sports
Field games bring the spirit of competition to life with outdoor sports like soccer, handball, kickball, volleyball and dodgeball. Our field games specialists teach campers the rules and ensure safe play, blending fun with a healthy competitive edge.
Master the Art of Horseback Riding with Skill and Care
Camp Deer Creek’s English riding program teaches Hunt Seat Equitation, pleasure riding, elementary jumping, and horse care. Small-group lessons, ranging from 20 to 45 minutes, cover all horsemanship skills. Lessons are $45 each, and campers should bring riding clothes daily to ensure they’re prepared.
Bond Through Songs & Camp Traditions
Music is the heartbeat of camp, connecting everyone through shared songs and traditions. Campers learn the Camp Deer Creek song, individual group songs, weekly theme songs, end of summer farewell songs, the camp’s unique birthday songs, and more. Our music program helps campers grow confident expressing themselves while fostering camp unity and fun.
Explore Outdoors with Thrilling Adventures
The nature program is a camper favorite, featuring activities like scavenger hunts, creek walks, roasting S’mores, and more—just to name a few! Highlights include the CDC Zip Line and ropes course, all guided by our knowledgeable nature specialists.
Dive into Fun & Skill-Building at the Pool
The pool is the perfect place to cool off and have fun. Pioneers and older campers enjoy two swim periods daily—one instructional and one free swim—while younger campers combine both into one session. Under the watchful eyes of lifeguards, every camper has a chance to make a splash.
